Hey everyone! Today I’d like to share with you another Music Inspired Makeup look. My other looks in this series can be found here.
Sometimes it takes me a while to figure out a makeup look to go with a certain song, but when Le Petite Fille de la Mer started playing on my phone, the perfect look for this song popped right into my head.
The first thing I thought of when listening to this song was a ballerina. The melody has a music box-like quality to it which made me think of a ballerina in a little girl’s music box. The first color that comes to my mind when I think ballerina is obviously pink! Putting all of these elements together inspired me to create a soft, pale, and glowy look featuring lots of pink.
I hope you enjoy this look, and all of the details and products are listed below 🙂
Face
Bare Minerals Ready Foundation in Fair
Hard Candy Lite Bright Concealer in Light-used under eyes around typical highlight spots on the face (this product is very light-definitely a fair shade, and overall I can’t recommend this product. It’s thick and drying, not good at all for under the eyes in particular)
Milani Delizioso Pink Blush blended and muted with translucent powder
Wet n Wild Fergie Shimmer Palette in Rose Champagne Glow to highlight cheekbones and face
Eyes
Jesse’s Girl Eye Shadow Primer
Black Radiance Loose Shimmer Shadow in Hot Pink
Wet n Wild Single Eye Shadow in Sugar-I decided I wanted to mute out the pink eyes a bit, and Sugar is a shimmery white. Blended this over the whole eye area to make the pink lighter
Wet n Wild Single Eye Shadow in Brulee-brow bone highlight and used to blend out pink in crease
NYX Liquid Crystal Liner in Silver all along upper lash line
Makeup Forever Smoky Extravagant Mascara on top lashes
Kiss #11 False Eyelashes
Lips
NYX Butter Gloss in Eclair
NYX Mega Shine Gloss in Beige Pearl on center of lips
Brows
Dark brown from Sonia Kashuk Eye on Neutral Matte Palette
very beautiful and flattering make up xx

Pretty look. Pink and silver work well together in this look. Makes me want to go purchase the NYX Crystal liner 🙂

Thank you!! It would be fun to get some other glitter liner colors too! I like them. Although because they do take some building up to be opaque, it does give a bit of a textured feel. Like if you get it thick enough, you could peel it off. Just FYI! I’m sure many glitter liners by nature are like that 🙂

Thanks for the heads up and yeah I think you’re right- the few glitter liners I have tried seem to do that. They still look pretty though 🙂
