Review and Swatches: Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Moonstone

Hey friends! Today I wanted to share some thoughts on  Becca’s Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in the shade Moonstone. I’d seen and swatched this product many a time during Sephora visits but could never really justify dropping nearly 40 bucks on one powder even though it was completely beautiful! But having received a bit of birthday money recently and realizing that I don’t actually have any nice quality highlighters, I decided to splurge and go for it.

Price: $38

Amount of Product: 0.28 ounces

Animal Testing: Becca is cruelty free

Becca’s Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Moonstone is described as a pale gold. Moonstone is the second lightest shade in Becca’s line of pressed highlighting powders and has gold undertones. I love that this is a gold that works for fair skin since so many golds can be too dark and warm toned.

I love this highlighter! The product feels soft and luxurious and blends very easily on the skin. With a light hand it could be very subtle, but it is a pigmented product and you can definitely get a stronger, more intense glow from it as well. I’d say the only con to this product is that it does contain visible shimmering flecks, but they are small enough to where I don’t even feel like I can call them glitter. These particles are not noticeable on the skin from a reasonable distance, but if you look very closely, you can see some sparkle on your skin especially in the sunlight. I don’t find this to be too big an issue, and I think the end result looks beautiful.

Have you ever tried any of Becca’s highlighting products, and what do you think of them?

Thanks for reading, take care!

  1. All beautiful pictures, I’m curious to try this highlighter as well. As far as I can see, it blends really well into the skin and doesn’t look too shimmery as most of the highlighters

    1. Oh I totally feel the same especially with oiler skin, large pores, etc. Granted my skin type has changed a bit now but I’ve had more fun with highlighting! Such a pretty little extra step 🙂 plus there are a few more shades of this to and they are all beautiful!
