Hey everyone! I’m excited to bring you today’s review of the Urban Decay Electric Pressed Pigment Palette which I purchased at Sephora.
Price: $49
Amount of Product: 10 x .04 ounces
Animal Testing: Urban Decay is cruelty free
This palette costs $49 and contains ten pressed pigments at 0.04 ounces each. It also comes with a double ended brush. The packaging is beautiful and very functional. There is a nice size mirror that can stand on it’s own, and the plastic palette is very sturdy and secure. This palette is technically a pressed pigment palette (as opposed to an eye shadow palette), and on the back of the packaging you will find in small print that Slowburn, Savage, Jilted, and Urban are not meant for use around the eye. It seems a little sneaky since this looks like your typical eye shadow palette, but this warning is due to the fact that certain ingredients used in red/pink colors can be irritating to the skin. Use your best discretion. If you have sensitive eyes, you may want to follow their warning. If your eyes aren’t sensitive and you use those colors around your eyes normally, you may not have any issues.
The following color descriptions were taken from Urban Decay’s website.
Revolt is a bright metallic silver shimmer w/silver glitter, Gonzo is a bright turquoise matte w/ floating tonal pearl, Slowburn is a bright red-orange matte w/floating pearl, Savage is a bright hot pink matte, Fringe is a bright metallic teal, Chaos is a bright blue matte w/floating tonal pearl, Jilted is a bright metallic fuchsia w/blue shift, Urban is a bright metallic purple, Freak is a bright green w/gold shift, and Thrash is a bright lime green matte w/floating gold pearl.
This is a fantastic palette for color lovers! The quality of these pigments is great, and the pigmentation is strong. With the many neutral palettes floating around out there, this palette is unique in its focus on bright colors. Used with primer, these last well on me all day. Even if you’re a neutral lover or a little scared of such crazy colors, having a palette like this is a great way to incorporate pops of color into your looks. Overall, Urban Decay did a great job with this palette, and you can create tons of fun, colorful looks with these bright pigments.
Photos were taken outside in natural sunlight, and swatches are one swipe.
Do you have this palette? What are your favorite ways to use these bright, standout colors?
Thanks so much for stopping by and reading!
I kind of forgot about this palette actually – after considering it when it first came out. So bright and wonderful. Awesome swatches. But my mind has been on the new Smoky one. But to be honest, I don’t own any of UD’s palettes – can you believe it? 🙂

Definitely bright! Oh I didn’t have any for the longest time. And then somehow I ended up with more UD palettes than any other kind haha

Beautiful pictures and by the way, impressive color pay off! I wouldn’t dare to go so colorful with my eye make up but these eye shadows are very pigmented and vibrant! UD does really great palettes, even apart from the famous Naked series…

Oh wow these are bright – great pigmentation!! A tad bright for me as I seem to stick with neutrals (boring, right?! lol) however I bet these look gorgeous on someone with the confidence to pull them off!! Awesome post XX

Yes super bright! Haha oh no not boring. I feel like most people don’t necessarily gravitate towards such crazy colors for the eyes all the time 🙂 thanks so much for reading!

It’s so pretty and fun but I would NEVER use it. How’s the baby!? How’s mommy life!?

Haha I know the feeling! It’s not the most wearable, everyday palette out there 🙂 She’s doing great! Thanks for asking! Five months already…I’m really loving being able to stay at home with her 🙂

It’s amazing how fast they grow. I feel like my son was JUST 5 months and now he’s about to be 2 in October. Take lots of pictures, and write down milestones! You’ll regret it if you don’t, but it’s never too late to start 🙂

So true! Yeah that’s what pretty much all of my phone pictures consist of haha. And I have wanted to make a little baby book for her but never got it started in the early days since that was a hectic time! But you’re right, no reason I can’t start now and just catch up! Hope you’re having fun with your little guy too 🙂

Thanks so much! That is a great idea 🙂 I remember seeing somewhere that people did an electric challenge with this and it was something like having to use all the colors every day for a week. That would be interesting haha
