October Means Halloween!

Hey everyone! It is October and that means Halloween is officially right around the corner! I have always liked Halloween and this year, I wanted to bring you all some really fun makeup looks!

For my first Halloween look of the season, I wanted to recreate one of the lovely little creatures I see quite often in my area of Colorado. Here is my inspiration photo and the completed look! Keep on reading to see how I achieved this look 🙂

I used a variety of products to transform into a little fawn, and had so much fun!
To begin, I put on foundation as usual. Today I chose to use the Covergirl Outlast Stay Luminous Foundation in #810 classic ivory. I like to use the Sephora #56 Pro Flawless Airbrush with this foundation.

Next, I began to shape out my face with the Wet n Wild Contouring Palette in Dulce De Leche. I recently hauled this in my last post and said I was interested in seeing how it worked on my face because the swatches were not super pigmented. I have been using this for a while now and I love it! They seem to be the perfect contour and highlight shades for my skin tone.

I like to use the ELF Angled Blush Brush for the contour shade and the ELF Blush Brush for the highlight.

To deepen the browns on my face I used the Meet Matt(e) Nude palette from The Balm. I also used this palette for the matte white as the highlight on my face. I thought I had white face paint but I couldn’t find it anywhere. If I was going to wear this look out on Halloween, I would definitely use cream based products and then set them with shadow instead of just using shadow like I did.

I used Matt Rosen and Matt Garcia to darken up areas of my face. I used Matt Malloy as the white for this look.
I would say this look is a pretty easy one to achieve. With the right colors and a lot of blending, this is a very do-able look.
For the white, I used the Real Techniques Base Shadow Brush and the ELF Small Smudge Brush to get into small spaces. Here is what the mostly finished face looks like, with one eye started 🙂

After finishing the face, I moved on to the eyes! For this look I used the Lorac Cream Eyeliner with the Real Techniques Fine Liner Brush. I also used the Revlon Color Stay Eyeliner Crayon in Black-Brown and the Milani Glitter Eyeliner in Precious Silver. I can’t seem to find the Milani eyeliner online anywhere, so here is a link to one from Jordana that seems similar.

I wanted to create a new inner corner for my eye to make it appear bigger. I used the Lorac Cream Eyeliner to create this new inner corner, as well as the top and bottom wing. I used the Revlon Crayon Liner to line my upper lash line and the silver liner to line my waterline and fill in between the two wings.

I forgot to take a picture of the false lashes I used, but they were the ELF Natural Lashes.

I also used the Lorac Cream liner for my nose to give it that deer look.

I used the silver Milani liner for the dots on my face.

For my lips, I actually used a really light layer of the Revlon eyeliner on the top lip, and Matt Singh from the Meet Matt(e) Nude palette for the bottom lip. I would probably try to find an actual lipstick in those colors if I was going to wear this out all night.

I hope you all liked my first Halloween post of the year! This would be a pretty easy costume to throw together after the makeup is done. Dress in brown, add some white spots, add some ears onto a headband and you are ready to go!
